At Splash at Balmoral, we’re proud to be more than just a destination for family fun. We’re also committed to supporting our local community.
This summer, we’re partnering with local businesses to help provide much-needed school supplies for students and teachers at Bethune Academy in Haines City, Florida.
The initiative was created after Bethune Academy shared a list of the classroom resources their teachers need most for the upcoming school year. Rather than purchasing generic supplies, every item has been selected based on the school’s specific requests to ensure the donations make the greatest possible impact.
Our goal is to raise $2,000 to purchase these essential supplies, which will be delivered directly to Bethune Academy before students return to the classroom.
We’re incredibly grateful for the generous support we’ve already received from local businesses. AdventHealth helped kick off the campaign by donating 75 drawstring backpacks for students, while 88 Vacation Homes, Junk Genie, Balmoral Resort Florida and Florida Landscape have also made generous contributions towards the initiative.
The supplies being purchased include classroom essentials such as construction paper, white cardstock, laminating sheets, dry erase markers, copy paper, crayons, playground equipment and other resources requested directly by Bethune Academy teachers.
Community partnerships like these play an important role in helping local schools provide students with the tools they need to learn, grow and succeed. By working together, we can make a meaningful difference for both teachers and students as they prepare for the new school year.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing updates on the campaign across our social media channels, from the arrival of the school supplies through to the final delivery at Bethune Academy.
